Do I need to buy hosting from Molixa Forge?
No. Molixa is pure control plane, you bring your own VPS from any provider (Hetzner, DigitalOcean, AWS, Vultr, Linode, etc.). We connect over SSH; your server, your bill, our dashboard.
What Linux distros do you support?
Anything systemd-based and modern: Ubuntu 20.04/22.04/24.04, Debian 11/12, AlmaLinux / Rocky 8/9, and Amazon Linux 2023. Most features also work on vanilla Fedora.
Is the free tier actually usable?
Yes. One server, three sites, all stacks, all one-click installers, SSL automation, browser terminal, monitoring, and the community AI tier, no credit card required, no time limit.
How does the AI assistant work? Is it safe?
Molixa AI translates your request into a shell command, shows you the proposed action before executing, runs it with audit logging, and lets you roll back. Destructive commands require explicit confirmation. Your secrets never leave your server.
Does Molixa Forge work with WordPress? Laravel? Node.js?
Yes to all. One-click WordPress via WP-CLI. LEMP/LAMP with PHP 8.2/8.3 for Laravel. Node.js via nvm with PM2. Ghost, Strapi, Python/Gunicorn, Ruby/Passenger, and Rust toolchains are all first-class.
Can I migrate from RunCloud, Laravel Forge, or Cloudways?
Yes. Molixa’s connect flow runs a detection scan that identifies existing nginx sites, databases, and running services, so you can adopt a server that’s already live without downtime. Manual migration guides live at forge.molixa.app/docs.
Where is Molixa Forge hosted?
The control plane runs on Hetzner Cloud in Germany. Your data (server metadata + encrypted SSH credentials) lives in a Neon Postgres cluster in us-east-1. Credentials are encrypted at rest with AES-256.
Can I self-host Molixa Forge?
The core is open-source and runs on any Docker host. Self-hosting guide, Helm chart, and hardened Ubuntu AMI are on the docs site. Enterprise plans add SSO, SAML, SCIM, and private-network VPC.
